Cambodia: Phnom Penh

Goodbye to Siem Reap and the temples near Angkor.  I already miss them.
Phnom Penh
We decided to go from Siem Reap straight to Phnom Penh and skip Battambang. The main thing we did in Phnom Penh was see one of the Khmer Rouge's former prisons, Tuol Sleng, and the killing fields. That was a difficult day. We also got to see the National Museum, which was small but fantastic. A lot of the statuary from Angkor is there, and it was cool to be able to picture the statues in their original places in the temples we'd seen.

25 cent ice cream!  I'll buy that, twice!
The audience playing with the puppets after a shadow play we saw.  It was really funny, even though we couldn't understand most of the words.
Kratie
We're in Kratie right now, a small town on the Mekong river near the Laos border. We got to see river dolphins today! We leave early tomorrow morning, and with some luck we'll be in Laos tomorrow afternoon.
Min was very generous with her space on the "7-hour" bus ride to Kratie.
There were definitely fried tarantulas at the lunch stop.  They weren't freshly fried though so I didn't try any.

The sun, it burnssss us!
Dolphins!
 Next up: Onward to Laos?
